Following several very successful cultural Yoga Retreats in Morocco, which included some extraordinary experiences in the remote Sahara, Claire was struck with the idea that an African Safari could be very compatible for a Yoga Retreat and so began her journey to ultimately creating this truly unique and remarkable Yoga Travel opportunity.

Claire has been working closely with the team at Safari Frank to create a blend of classical Safari along with some more unique and unexpected experiences to deliver a well-rounded, connected immersion into this part of the world, grounded in our daily yoga practices (twice daily when possible) as well as the culture and communities that we will experience.
The level of detail that has gone into this retreat is significant, and so rather than try to replicate what we have created, you can find a comprehensive document here that outlines the entire itinerary in detail. Every detail has been carefully thought through, discussed and worked into what we hope is a perfect balance between activity and stillness which can be when the real magic finds you.
The document goes through every day, what to expect, what is included, and what isn’t. All internal flights and transportation are included, as are all meals with the exception of 3 dinners when we are in Victoria Falls. Aside from that, there will be the opportunity to join at least one add-on excursion while we are in Victoria Falls to an elephant sanctuary (because, of course) and other purely discretionary purchases that you choose to make.
As you might imagine, every day will be truly unique not least as we will be in three different regions of Zimbabwe and Botswana but also in terms of how our days begin, the blending of activities with meals and yoga. For example, when we are in Victoria Falls we will take to the water first thing one morning on an exclusive-use river cruise on the Zambezi, where we will practice yoga on the upper deck and then head down to breakfast. You will find a detailed itinerary of our days in the linked document
We will aim to practice yoga every morning, and in late afternoons when possible. We will need to flexible as to timing as there are optimal times for the viewing of wildlife that we will take advantage of. So as with life, inner flexibility and a going-with-the-flow attitude is key.
